Wi-Fi is a mechanism for wirelessly connecting electronic devices. A device enabled with Wi-Fi, such as a personal computer, video game console, smartphone, or digital audio player, can connect to the Internet via a wireless network access point. An access point (or hotspot) has a range of about 20 meters (65 ft) indoors and a greater range outdoors. Multiple overlapping access points can cover large areas.
The College offers WIFI Network to the members of DPREC. The services offered by the network differs from member to member depending on their role in the college. The purpose of this network is to cut down the geographical barrier between home and workplace. The services that are accessed in the college can also be accessed at the home. For example if a member has worked on the some application and saved their data in the college can have access to that data at home.
The current network spreads around `15Km radius around bhadrachalam in line of sight mode which can be extend even to longer distances on demand. The Network will run for 24X7 hours per week through out the year. The data transfer capacity of each connection is 54Mbps.

This enables the student to sit at their home and have access to these lectures apart from the instruction that is given in the college. This enables to improve their subject knowledge.
INTERNET: Access to college Internet will enable to utilize the internet facility not only in the college but also at their home or any way with in the coverage area. As we know internet Is a mass of information around the globle giving access to information on all the topics of diversified areas. This enables to improve their domain knowledge.
SOFTSKILLS: Access to college soft skills software like GEMS Server is made available to make the student use his facility not only in the college but also outside the college. This enables to improve their communication skills.
