The Department of Information Technology was established in the academic year 1997-1998 with an intake of 60. It is one of the oldest departments with 10 batches of students setting graduated. The current intake of the department is 90.The department has well qualified staff to train the students with 1:15 ratio. The asset of the department is its faculty, which is the driving force to train the students in nuturing in all aspects to shape their career. Several students were placed in MNC's in various responsible positions. The outstanding asset of the department is its Laboratories with sufficient number of computers with internet facility for each machine. Every student avails the facility of computers in 1:1 ratio basis.The department has a number of well equipped laboratories and provides excellent facilities for learning content apart from regular curriculum. All computer labs and servers are supported by robust and reliable UPS systems with backup. In addition the labs are supported by a generator and centralized AC.
